Today’s generation spends most of their time facing their gadgets more than anything/anyone else. Most adults compare us to their time and say that we are becoming anti-social which happens to be wrong. In fact, social media is a great means of communication not only to your close friends and relatives but also to “internet friends” or fellow fans of certain fandoms from different places around the globe.
Part of the trend these days are fanatic domains or commonly known as “fandoms”. They’re either of bands, celebrities, books, TV series, etc. Most teens catch up to certain fandoms because they’re real fans and love what their idols do. Others do so just to be part of the bandwagon and climb up the social hierarchy.
Pretty Little Liars happens to be part of the it-TV series nowadays. So if you have nothing to do or searching for a new fandom to love, here is a list of the reasons why you should be watching PLL instead of lazing off in your bed all day.
- Fashion sense. An episode won’t end without triggering your envy and making you want to LITERALLY grab whatever the liars are wearing out of the TV. Their clothes, accessories, shoes, make-up, EVERYTHING they wear is PERFECT! The varying tasteful personal styles each character opts are all TO DIE FOR! They make their school hallways a fashion runway instantly! You can have their outfits as you daily fashion inspo too.
2. Long list of bae choices. They seem to add NOT JUST ONE but A LOT of new hot characters per season. Yes, whether you’re a guy or a girl, there’s a wide-range of HOTTIES WITH LOVABLE PERSONALITIES to select your ideal bae from. Oh, there are many attractive gay baes too *wink*
3. HALEB! Hanna Marin & Caleb Rivers’ relationship is goals af. I’m not saying that on-off relationships are dreamy but the fact that no matter how many times they fight and break-up, they ALWAYS (I hope) end up HAPPY & TOGETHER. They’re so sweet, protective & caring for each other, and INTIMATE making them THE PERFECT COUPLE.
4. Squad goals. The liars’ posse reminds me of my clique all the time. The great thing about them is that whatever one of them is dealing with whether it’s big or not, all of them understands, supports and helps her get through it. Their friendship may make you jealous especially if you’re adventurous and your friends are not. Wait, they even have matching bracelets LOL cutie.
5. Feminist. It’s one of the very few mystery & crime themed TV series with GIRLS AS PROTAGONISTS. Even though the liars have boyfriends/girlfriends who badly wants to help them out, they show that they can act with or without the boys. Aside from Spencer, Hanna, Aria and Emily, Alison, Mona, their moms, Maya, “Red coat”, and a lot of other girls prove GIRL POWER.
6. The mystery of who A is. This series is VERY UNPREDICTABLE! A is this anonymous sender who reveals the liars secrets. There are SO MANY plot twists in it that your mind might actually literally explode. The identity of he/she/it/bitch is can’t seem to be solved! But that will make you keep going because who wouldn’t love to have an unending clue hunt, right? Watch PLL and help the fandom discover who A is by finding clues that some may have overlooked and sharing your theories!
